Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals for the position of SCD Analyst.  The effort shall include customer requirement identification, knowledge, intelligence, information and data discovery, analysis, data acquisition/summation, report preparation and the creation or integration of GIS/geospatial and social network analysis into tailored production in support of customer needs. Analyst/Information Managers shall develop country focused assessments and under the supervision of the lead Analyst/Information Manager be capable of supporting a range of functions to ensure tailored production in support of stakeholder needs including:

Project Management:

The candidate shall define project scope and direction and develop detailed implementation plans for analytic production. The contractor shall ensure SCD projects are executed according to best practices and within time, budget, and quality constraints. The contractor shall monitor PACOM SCD project goals and advise the SCD PM of necessary remedial action or changes as project implementation progresses through established timelines.

Process Management:

 The candidate shall ensure alignment of analytic processes including: the identification of JIOC and PACOM customer priority requirements, development of production plans, federation of requirements as appropriate, coordination with intelligence analysts and subject matter experts (SME), identification of SMEs for engagement, development and integration of analysis including social-network analysis and geospatial products.

Process Improvement:

The candidate shall make recommendations to the PM or designee on process improvements and training options to integrate social science research methodologies with all-source analysis.

Analytic Expertise:

The candidate shall plan, coordinate, and provide senior analytic expertise to PACOM on SCD projects. The contractor will apply an understanding of intelligence processes and tradecraft to production efforts and will augment intelligence through SCD knowledge, information, and data collection and analysis as required using a range of appropriate methodologies in areas including but not limited to the following: Cultural anthropology, sociology, economics, history, demographics, statistics, and geography.

Requirements:

  • BA,MA, or PhD (i.e. anthropology, sociology, geography, economics) preferred but not required
  • 5-10 years of a broad range of intelligence and operational skills and experience to include an in-depth knowledge of intelligence analysis experience
  • Familiarization with PACOM AOR and in-depth expertise in regional military, cultural, macro-economic, and/or political issues
  • Expert in research and demonstrated knowledge of empirical research within the theoretical concepts in academia from psychology, sociology, anthropology, geography, history, economics, and political science preferred
  • Expert communication skills and be able to write and brief to executive leadership. Proven record of writing through dissertation, publications, or other type of finished report based on primary field research is preferred.
  • Ability to lead groups, collaborates with intelligence/non-intelligence specialists, and communicates analysis in ways that have practical application and are understandable to intelligence/non-intelligence specialist.
