Title:                    Security Assistant
Location:             Executive Office of the President; Washington, DC
Reports to:          Program Manager - EOP               

Job Summary:  
Security Assistants perform a wide variety of administrative tasks associated with physical and personnel security to include, but not limited to, reviewing SF-8Ss and/or SF-86s and other documentation, collecting and arranging BI documentation but not limited to analysis of data prior to entering into the personnel security data base. Issuing PIV cards, key control, and entering PH data.

Job Duties:        
II. Contact applicants or EOP federal and/or contractor employees to assist with corrective action concerning completion/submission of documents.
III. Assist EOP employees with E-QIP submissions, perform applicable entries in PerSec's database, and review re-hires applications; process Congressional inquiries, and other clerical and/or general administrative tasks as required.
IV. Track documents to ensure accurate processing, review OPM PIP documents, access OPM Portal for form review processing, and run management reports from data as requested.
V. Mail documents and perform basic customer service administrative functions, answer telephones, access Customer Service Unit's email account. They shall be responsible for customer service, interaction with internal and external customers, using the data as the tool and review hardcopy documents for accuracy and correctness.
VI. Conduct research, which includes identifying files, records, of forms that will be needed by PerSec staff; identifying and flagging missing information in forms or records; identifying and resolving problems involving files, forms, records, database and other resources; preparing and proof-reading correspondence; and identifying and attaching or enclosing correspondence.
VII. Security Assistants may perform other duties as assigned and within scope.
