Governance and Leadership
GRS believes proper governance is essential in light of the business and media current operating environment. Changing public and shareholder expectations are moving the bar on corporate governance requirements quickly. We see this environment continuing and intensifying in the years ahead.
GRS also understands the importance of developing integrated leadership teams than can manage the organization as a cohesive whole. Fractionalized leadership quickly undermines adherence to strategy, creates unnecessary internal competition, and devolves the corporate culture. GRS works with senior executives, boards of directors, and committees to ensure a high level of cohesion and performance among the teams.
Governance
GRS works with client organizations to determine the best form of governance, policies and procedures for their organization. We offer an analysis of the relevant types of governance forms and practices, outlining the benefits and detractions of each. We then work with our clients though the process of stand-up or reconfiguration, assisting in the composition of the board and its practices. We also support board development though training and advice as needed.
Leadership Teams
GRS works with senior-level and mid-tier leadership teams to ensure their success as a group. We help teams develop an explicit set of objectives and behaviors – with the authority to call colleagues on infractions. We do not believe in “sacred cows”. We believe substantially more value is developed in teams than fractionalized or individual “hero” leadership. Therefore, we focus on applying tools and performance management techniques that will drive optimal team performance and rewards.
