U.S. Government OMB PART Support
Over the last decade, the U.S. Congress has adopted a number of assessment programs aimed at linking budgetary allocations to agency performance. A current program is the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) Program Assessment Rating Tool (PART). This program assesses agencies with an in-depth analysis which is then viewed by policy-makers using a set of goals, objectives and metrics determined at the outset by the participating agency.
The PART program process is comprised of a complex series of analytical questions. Agencies are required to demonstrate current actions or concrete plans in a variety of areas including: program purpose and design; performance measurement, evaluation, management and results.
With its experience in strategic planning, GRS can help agency staff more quickly develop an on-target response. The team is a quick study at inventorying agency programs, identifying strategic strengths, and positioning responses to developmental areas. The team can support staff in building plans for programs that allow the agency to present a clear trajectory taking into account current issues and opportunities..
The OMB PART program is one of many assessment tools currently in place in the U.S. Government. GRS is available to help agencies perform self-assessments or meet external requirements in a timely manner with in-depth, credible, and knowledgeable responses that will allow the senior executives to communicate a positive message to policy-makers, stakeholders and the media.
